Privacy Policy
How HomeVantage collects, uses, and protects your information.
Last updated: September 16, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how HomeVantage LLC ("HomeVantage," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and shares information when you visit homevantage.net (the "Site"), contact us, or use the secure client portal we provide to our clients. By using the Site, submitting a request, or using the client portal, you agree to this Policy.
Information we collect
Information you give us. When you complete our consultation or contact form, we collect the details you provide — such as your name, phone number, email address, project address, and information about your project (type, budget range, timeline, and how you heard about us).
Information collected automatically. Like most websites, we and our service providers automatically collect certain technical information through cookies and similar technologies — such as your IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed, and how you interact with the Site.
Information from third parties. We may receive information from analytics and advertising partners and from services we use to operate our business (such as mapping/address-lookup and customer-management tools).
How we use your information
- Respond to your inquiry, and schedule and conduct consultations;
- Communicate with you about your project by phone, text, or email;
- Prepare estimates and proposals and provide our services;
- Operate, improve, and secure the Site; and
- Comply with our legal obligations.
Our client portal
Clients of HomeVantage are given access to a secure online portal where they can follow their project. The portal is part of our own software and is separate from this Site.
If you are a client with portal access, we hold the information needed to run your project: your name and contact details, your project address, the selections you make for your home, delivery and scheduling information, documents and photographs relating to your project, and the messages and emails exchanged between us about it.
You see only your own project. Your access is tied to your project and cannot reach another client's. You are not shown what we paid our suppliers, our internal communications, or any other project.
Access requires you to sign in, either with a link sent to your email address or with a Microsoft account. We create your access; there is no public sign-up. Members of HomeVantage staff have access appropriate to their role, and every action taken on a financial record is logged.
Financial information
We hold financial information relating to your project: what we have been quoted, what we have paid our suppliers and subcontractors, your budget and allowances, and the invoices and receipts supporting those costs.
We do not connect to, access, or store our clients' bank accounts. We connect our own company bank and credit card accounts to our software, through a regulated provider, so that our purchases are recorded against the right project automatically. That connection reaches HomeVantage's accounts only. It gives us no access to any client's accounts, and no client is asked to connect one.
Where card payment details are involved, we do not store them. We keep only the last four digits of a company card, so we can tell which of our own cards a purchase was made on. Financial information is encrypted both while it travels between systems and while it is stored.
Photographs of your project
We photograph our work before it begins, while it is in progress, and after it is finished. These photographs serve two purposes: they form part of your project record, and we may use them to show our work — in print, in broadcast media, on this Site and elsewhere online, in proposals, on social media, and in our other marketing material.
Your construction agreement with us sets out your consent to this use, and is where the terms of that consent are agreed.
We do not publish your name, your property address, or anything else identifying you alongside project photographs without your written consent.
Text messages (SMS)
If you provide your phone number and consent on our form, we may send you text messages about your inquiry or project (for example, scheduling and project updates). We do not send promotional or marketing text campaigns. Message and data rates may apply, and message frequency varies. You can opt out at any time by replying STOP, and reply HELP for help. Consent to receive texts is not a condition of any purchase.
We do not share your mobile phone number or your text-messaging opt-in information with third parties or affiliates for their marketing purposes.
Cookies, analytics, and advertising
We use cookies and similar technologies to operate the Site and understand how it is used. We also use third-party analytics and advertising services — which may include Google (Analytics and Ads) and Meta (Facebook/Instagram) — that may set cookies to measure performance and to show you our ads on other sites ("retargeting"). You can control cookies through your browser settings and opt out of certain advertising through tools such as Google Ads Settings, Meta ad preferences, or the Digital Advertising Alliance (optout.aboutads.info).
How we share information
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with service providers who help us operate (such as hosting, form, email, CRM, analytics, and advertising providers) under agreements that limit their use of it, and as required by law or to protect our rights.
To run our projects we also use construction management, accounting, communications, and software hosting providers. They process information on our behalf, under agreements limiting them to that purpose. We do not sell your information, and we do not share it for anyone else's advertising.
Data retention & security
If you contact us through this Site but do not become a client, we keep your inquiry for up to two years and then delete it.
If you become a client, we keep your project records for at least seven years after your project completes. Construction work carries obligations that outlast the job — warranty questions, defect claims, tax and accounting requirements — and the project file is what allows us to answer them. Records may be kept longer where a dispute, claim, or legal obligation requires it.
You may ask us to delete information about you at any time, and we will do so unless we are required to keep it for one of the reasons above. Where we cannot delete something, we will tell you why.
We use reasonable safeguards to protect your information, though no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.
Your choices and rights
You may request to access, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you, or opt out of marketing communications, by contacting us using the details below. Depending on your state of residence (for example, California), you may have additional rights regarding your personal information, and we honor applicable requests.
Children's privacy
The Site is intended for adults and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Third-party links
The Site may link to third-party websites we do not control. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies.
Changes to this Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. Changes take effect when posted, and the "last updated" date above will change.
